Washington D.C. offers a wide variety of ground transportation once you have arrived.

Approximate Travel Times/Taxi Fares to Airports/Train Station

  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport - "DCA" (7 miles from hotel)
    Taxi: Approximately USD 30 one-way
    20 – 40 minutes
  • DCA is also on the Metro Blue Line (transfer to Red Line at Metro Center), and the Yellow Line (transfer to Red Line at Gallery Place Chinatown)

  • Washington Dulles International Airport - "IAD" (24 miles from hotel)

    BWI Airport website has a good resource for ground transportation on its homepage. A variety of options are listed for taxis, shuttles, etc.

  • Union Station (serving Amtrak, Metro, MARC, VRE rail lines)
    Taxi from Union Station to Marriott: Approximately USD 2.80 – 3.25 one-way, 15 minutes

    Union Station is on the Metro Red Line. Take the Red Line to the Woodley Park/Zoo station; the marriott Wardman Park is within one block of this station.

Metro

The most convenient way to travel around Washington, D.C. is to use the city's great public transit system. The Metro subway system provides safe, clean, reliable transit service for more than 700,000 customers a day throughout the Washington, D.C. area. The system is the second busiest in the United States, serving 86 stations in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority website is the best resource to help you navigate the Metro subway system. The trip planner and system maps are particularly useful for out-of-town visitors.

The closest Metro stop for the hotel is the Woodley Park/Zoo station on the Red Line. Exit the Marriott Wardman Park from the 24th Street Entrance to walk one block to the Metro Station.

Taxis

Taxis are available outside the Guest Entrance of the Marriott Wardman Park.

Certain taxi companies only operate out of certain airports, for example Washington Flyer operates to and from Dulles International.

Cars may be rented at the airports or there is a car rental agency close to the Marriott Wardman Park.

The Wardman Park Hotel does not have its own shuttle to and from any airports or Union Station. However, there are a number of shuttle options for getting to or from the airports or train station.
